Coming soon. In development. These rules are built on the server and tested, but nobody has played them in a real game client yet. They may be tuned before the Forgelands opens.
Everywhere else in Verra, killing a player who never fought back brings corruption. The Forgelands is lawless. The whole region, its seas, the Caldera and the islets play by different rules.
Lawless PvP
- No corruption. If you kill a player while both of you are inside the region, you gain no corruption.
- Attacking still flags you. There is still no PvP toggle anywhere on EmberForge: attacking someone is the flag, and they can always fight back.
- Everyone is fair game, inside the cities, in the Caldera and on the water.
Full loot: what drops
When you die anywhere in the Forgelands:
- Everything in your bags drops: materials, consumables, unequipped gear and crates.
- The coin you carry drops. Money in the bank is safe.
- It all goes into a loot bag on the spot. Anyone can take it for 10 minutes: you, your friends, or the player who killed you.
What never drops
- Your equipped gear. What you are wearing stays on you.
- Quest items.
- Cosmetics and store items. Anything bound to your account never drops, ever.
- Soulbound items, meaning any item that cannot be traded.
Strict anti-cheat
Aurora Borealis runs at her strictest tier inside the region:
- Any movement cheat, even a small one such as running a little faster than you should, removes you from the region straight away. You are moved to the region's safe exit and told why.
- Any combat cheat, such as replaying abilities, false hit claims or out-of-range shots, is refused and removes you the same way.
- Every finding is recorded and queued for review, like everywhere else on EmberForge.
All of this happens on our own server. Nobody can buy, glitch or cheat their way to an advantage in the Forgelands.
Carry what you can afford to lose
Bank your coin before you go, travel in a group, and know your way out. The Forgelands rewards the guilds that plan.
