Dungeons & Encounters

Dungeons as composed content — real layouts from the world data, gameplay owned by our server, and one click into a group with the Group Finder.

A dungeon on EmberForge is composed content, not a separate hard-coded mode. The geometry streams from the world; the gameplay — the wave spawns, the monsters, the bosses, the loot, and the objectives — is owned by our server and built from the same encounter, monster, loot, and quest systems that power the open world.

From the real map

We source each dungeon's real layout and spawn points from the world data, then drive them through a wave runner: monsters spawn, players fight, a boss arrives, loot drops over the group, and quest credit flows.

Verra's dungeons — from the Tower of Carphin to the Befallen Forge and the desert pocket dungeons — all live in the world, and our engine lights them up. And with the Group Finder, getting into one is a single click and a teleport, not an hour of LFG chat.

At a glance

  • Real layouts and spawn points sourced from the world data.
  • A wave runner drives monsters, the boss, group loot and quest credit.
  • Dungeons include the Tower of Carphin, the Befallen Forge and the desert pocket dungeons — Vault of the Emigrant, Scarabsong Hollow, The Prismarium, Brood Pit, Snakebite Stash and Lost Hero's Sepulcher.
  • Group Finder — your class, level and role auto-fill; queue, and the group teleports to the entrance when it's ready.
