Crafting is a real economic pillar, not an afterthought. EmberForge models the full artisanship loop: gathering → processing → crafting, across professions, stations, and certification tiers.
How a craft resolves
Recipes are data: inputs, outputs, the stations and certifications required, and a gating check that runs in a strict order (do you have the profession, the tools, the station, the materials). Input quality, your certification tier, and a little luck all feed the output quality, with a chance to crit into a higher rarity.
Processing jobs can run asynchronously (queue them and come back), while simpler crafts complete on the spot. The result is a crafting economy with depth — and because it feeds the server-wide auction, crafters have a real market to sell into.
At a glance

- Gating, in order: profession, tools, station, materials.
- Quality comes from input quality, certification tier and a little luck — with a chance to crit into a higher rarity.
- Queue processing jobs and come back later; simple crafts finish on the spot.
