Nodes & City-Building

Regions that grow from wilderness to metropolis as players contribute — with mayors, elections, citizenship and node politics, minus the grind.

Nodes are the beating heart of Verra's world. A region is a node that grows through stages — from wilderness to village, town, city, and metropolis — as players contribute to it. The settlement physically builds up as the node advances, and with growth comes mayors, elections, citizenship, and node politics.

EmberForge keeps this engagement loop but cuts the grind — node progression that's rewarding rather than punishing. Nodes are server-authoritative, so the whole region's state (level, treasury, leadership, the services it offers) is owned and persisted by us, and tunable so we can keep progression healthy as populations shift.

At a glance

  • Stages: wilderness → village → town → city → metropolis.
  • Politics: mayors, elections and citizenship.
  • Server-owned state: level, treasury, leadership and services — persisted and tunable.
  • Less grind, same engagement.
